Tomorrow, Wednesday October 4th 6PT, is our co-presentation with the Colorado section on Zoom. The sample clocks driving audio CODECs in digital recording systems have been based on crystal oscillators almost exclusively. Due to advances in materials and integration, atomic clocks can be deployed with electrical and footprint requirements on the order of integrated circuits. We investigate the applicability of current atomic clock varieties in controlling CODECs, with jitter performance an important quality factor. We also investigate the measurement of clock jitter in search of a method to capture anecdotal qualities of jitter in audio applications.Join us for this live Zoom co-presentation with the AES Colorado Section.More info and how to login: aessf.org/event/atomic-clocks-in-digital-audio/#atomicclock #DigitalAudio #recordingstudio #musicrecordin ...
