SUMMARY:Bay Area Modular Synth Group
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bay Area Modular Synth Meetup Group for this special collaborative meeting with San Francisco AES. Modular Synth meetup members will give an overlay of modular synthesis as it pertains to audio and the film industry. BAMSM will bring two modular synthesizers and provide a walk through on patching with an explanation of what is occurring as the signal flow grows and develops. \nWe’ll be able to track and record during this portion. AES San Francisco’s Nahuel Bronzini\, recording and mix engineer on Fantastic Negrito’s 2018 Grammy winning album Please Don’t Be Dead\, will be on hand to record some of our synth sounds at Airship Laboratories studio. \nThis will be a hands-on meeting with time for Q&A. \nSpeakers include\, Peter Elsea\, former director and professor of electronic music at UC Santa Cruz\, Bay Area Modular Synth Meetup Group organizers Max Riley and Thomas Eding\, with more to be added. \nAES members have priority to reserve a ticket.\nIf space permits\, we’ll offer tickets for non-members and guests closer to the event.
