DESCRIPTION:Film Post Production Mixing\n\nLora Hirschberg Academy Award winning re-recording mixer and film sound industry veteran will discuss her career from early days in the NYC downtown art scene to her current role at Skywalker Sound working on big budget Hollywood blockbusters\, indies and documentaries. \n  \nSchedule:\n7:00 pm Light refreshments & mixer in the atrium\n7:30 pm Lecture begins \nSpeaker Bio: \nLora Hirschberg is a re-recording mixer at Skywalker Sound\, with over 150 film credits\, including a variety of independent and documentary films and some of biggest blockbusters in recent years. She has won an Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing for the movie Inception as well as a BAFTA Award for Best Film Sound for the same film. She was nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing for the miniseries Hemingway & Gellhorn and the Academy Award for Best Sound Mixing for The Dark Knight. \nAdvance registration is at https://aespost.eventbrite.com \nThis meeting is co-sponsored by the Berkeley City College Multimedia Arts Department. \nThe college is located around the corner from the downtown Berkeley BART station.
