The San Francisco State University Chapter of the Audio Engineering Society will be hosting a presentation on live sound by one of its
Alumnis, John Nielson.
The event will be co-hosted by the AES San Francisco Section, and by the SF State Chapter of College Students in Broadcasting (CSB).
Mr. Nielson will be discussing his career in live sound, live sound equipment and practices, and also taking part in a Q&A session.
About the Speaker:
John Nielson is a graduate of San Francisco State's Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts program. He has worked with one of the biggest live sound companies on the west coast, Sound on Stage, for more than 15 years as a live sound engineer and mixer.

Attendees should keep in mind it takes 10
minutes to walk from the main parking lot to the Creative Arts building.
The SFSU AES Rep will be standing on the North Side of Holloway in front of the
entrance to McKenna Theatre (in the Creative Arts Building) - see
campus map quadrant 6J at 5:50 pm to
guide guests to the event.
Attendees arriving later than anticipated should look for white double-doors to
the left of the entrance to McKenna. These doors will lead downstairs, and CA
43, SFSU's recording studio, will be on the right.
