H.E.A.R. is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) serving the music community since 1988. 

Custom Musicians Earplugs from H.E.A.R.

Regular List price: $200- $300
H.E.A.R. List Price:  $185 plus tax

H.E.A.R.'s AES group and student rate: $170 plus tax.

It takes approximately 12-15 min per each ear fitting for custom molding. Office visit includes free hearing screening allow 30-40 min. The plugs come back from the lab in 2 weeks unless you request a rush charge. If it is a rush they can come back 3-4 days. Rush lab charge is $55. H.E.A.R. provides a 2nd appt for the final custom fitting and private instructions on how to use the earplugs. H.E.A.R. provides a 90 day guarantee for remakes and a 1 year warranty for materials.

This “rockumentary” features interviews with some of today’s most popular musicians (including Ozzy Osbourne, Wyclef Jean and Moby) as they talk about the kinds of long-term hearing damage that can occur when music and other sounds are played too loudly. Viewers are given a detailed look at the mechanics of sound as well as an easy-to-follow description of how the human ear works. As the video progresses, viewers are offered the tools necessary to understand why high-decibel sounds can create such unintended havoc on the body. Both educational and entertaining, this video will help viewers discover how they can make better choices in their auditory “consumption.” This video includes useful tips on hearing protection, information on the short-term and long-term effects of noise exposure and solid advice from music professionals who are familiar with the wide world of sound.
